Caramel Corn

Thanksgiving is a traditional time of sharing the gifts of gratitude and appreciation. We celebrate families and friends. Whether we gather face to face, via Zoom, Facetime, or share our voices over a phone conversation, it’s the love that matters.

What kinds of food do you like to share together for Thanksgiving? Savory dips and chips? Wings? Veggies and pizza? Turkey and stuffing? Mashed potatoes? Barbecue? Tacos? Pasta? Tandoori Chicken? Fish and chips? Sushi? PB&J? Pies? Baklava? Cookies? Puppy chow? Party Mix? On and on it goes. . . Whatever your specialty, it belongs to you and your tradition.

Here’s a recipe for Caramel Corn from David’s mother Velma. She made it for Thanksgiving and for Christmas. My mom Laura made it a couple of times in between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Here is a handwritten copy of the recipe as shared over the phone by Velma with Laura.

There is a variety of gifts, but it is always the same Spirit. There are all sorts of service to be done, but always to the same Lord, working in all sorts of different ways in different people. It is the same God working in all of them. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6

In the spirit of thanksgiving, common-woman.com wishes you and your loved ones a beautiful time of friendship and enjoyment together. Thank YOU for sharing your time to participate in common-woman. You are appreciated!
