Celebrating Local Young People
October 6, students and theirs sponsor from a local school district volunteered during The
Community Service Day. This gave local businesses and organizations opportunities to receive the gift of the energy and care of teenagers.
This group and their sponsor assisted a local church.
Weeding the yard, sweeping down cobwebs, cleaning floors, moving furniture; the students and their sponsors gave of their time and talents. It was awesome to see them in action.
Their work was efficient and excellent. Each person addressed the requested tasks with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. In just under 2 hours, the list of jobs was completed. The church sparkled. The crew moved on to their next helping assignment.
Members of the FFA group delivered lunches to farmers harvesting crops. Over 100 meals were shared in various fields around the area.
Many thanks to the school personnel who supported these worthy projects. Thanks to the student who gave of their time and talents. Much gratitude to these young people who shared their outstanding work ethic appreciation for the local communities.
These teens are the future of Kansas. They are our most precious natural resource.
Thanks to the people who work together for the betterment of our communities in northeastern Kansas by recognizing the positive power of young people.
Thank you.
