The Kansas City Chiefs won the 2020 Super Bowl! Not like I need to share this news. It just feels great to say it! Yay!!!
The game was amazing.
So were the comments from the Kansas City players, coach Andy Reid, administrators and others that demonstrated a positive attitude, appreciation for team effort, and respect for working together.
In a post-game interview, Mahomes referred to "maximizing every single day". He and the whole team believe in "never losing faith" and working together. "Everybody on this team, no one had their head down and we found a way to win in the end." The Chiefs' attitude speaks to adults and children alike.
The 2020 Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes is honored by the Disney World contribution of $ 1 million in his name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The joys of Make-A-Wish Foundation hit close to home. Along with other local children, Kaiya from Sabetha was blessed with a Make-A-Wish Foundation trip last spring. Kaiya and her family continue to express thankfulness, appreciation and gratitude to Make-A-Wish for making Kaiya's wish come true!
Maximizing every single day is a powerful way to live. Participate in every moment and live to the fullest. Realize your potential. Be courageous. Welcome the opportunities that come your way.
You are God's awesome child. I am God's awesome child. We are all awesome children of God.
Let's learn to lean into each new day. Let's live wholly, courageously and with gratefulness.
Let's talk more about children, and learning from the hearts of children.
They trust. They hope. They keep trying. They learn. They love. They forgive. They give. They receive. They say thank you.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." -Matthew 19:14
Here are three recent stories from the hearts of children:
1.) A couple of weeks ago, common-woman posted the picture from my friend Mila. The
joyful colors were beautiful. The bright rainbow, the green grass, the sun were lovely. And if you were in my kitchen today, you would smell the picture. The delicious fragrance of scented markers lingers near my fridge, making the picture even more special.
I have received 7 texts from common-woman readers, letting me know just how much Mila's picture meant to each of them. Thank you, Mila, for sharing joy.
Here is a picture of Mila and her mom at Mila's school. They were sharing a lunch date.
Their generosity invited more people to participate in the pre-Super Bowl excitement. Thank you.
2.) I recently heard a song written and performed by an almost-four-year-old British girl Fenn Rosenthal.
"Dinosaurs in Love" was posted by Tom Rosenthal, Fenn's musician father on Twitter. Tom plays the piano for his daughter Fenn as she sings her song. It has gone viral.
Jimmy Fallon features his own cover of "Dinosaurs in Love" Jimmy Fallon and thousands of other adults paused to appreciate the love expressed by a child. We can learn much from the innocent wisdom of children.
This past week was Kindness Week for elementary students in several local attendance centers. Activities each day focused on sharing kindness and positive behavior. At each grade level, students were given the opportunity to nominate their kindest citizen.
Louis nominated a grown up friend Kim as his choice for the kindest citizen in town. Here he is holding his nomination picture and message.Thank you, Louis, for seeing and sharing kindness.
Kim is Kaiya's mom-see Make-A-Wish reference above) Thank you for being such a kind citizen, Kim!
During the upcoming week, think of yourself as the kindest citizen in town. Be generous to yourself and to others.
Change your wallpaper on your device to a bright, shiny new background that makes you smile!
Listen to a song that cheers you up. Make up your own song.
Share your positive attitude with people you work with.
Share your wisdom with Common-Woman Email a comment or your idea. We are all learning together.
Let's learn from the hearts of children and the hearts of humble athletes.
Be Kind to Yourself With Maximized Living. Appreciate Others. Never Lose Faith. Go for a Win in the End. Say Thank You. Say Good Bye.
Maximize every single day.
Appreciate you and your gift of life.
Thank you for being you. Thank you for making common-woman possible. Thank you for reading this post. Have a great week.
