Today, I am thinking of the wonderful people in this life:
The thoughtful woman who organized an opportunity for the community to contribute to a family mourning the loss of their loved one in a house fire.
The creative and generous neighbor who dropped by 3 masks and some books on our doorstep.
A nurse who shared her own resources with a family in pain.
Pastors working together
Medical teams everywhere
The people who live stream and record worship services and uplifting opportunities.
The delivery folks at restaurants, essential stores, pharmacies
The people who are sheltering at home
Communication providers everywhere
Designers, creators, musicians, artists, inventors
Encouragers
The neighbors, families and friends who check up on each other
The care home teams that support and keep up the spirits of the residents
Schools, universities,educators, students and parents
Everyone working in the field of finance and banking
Newborn babies and their families
The sanitation workers, rural water maintainers, plumbers, electric companies
Farmers, ranchers, livestock producers
Day care providers
Grain elevators and the system that keeps the grains on the move
Truckers
Railroad teams
Shipping companies
Retail workers
Factory personnel in every department in every business
Hospitality teams
People and their families who serve in the military
EMTs, firefighters, local law enforcement ,city workers, meter readers
Leaders at the local, state and national level.
And to those I have not named, please forgive me. Please add them on the line below:
And You.
You being you is exactly right. Be kind to yourself. You have been so busy being kind to others, you may have forgotten to be very kind to yourself. Rest. Eat nutritious food. Spend some quiet time in prayer and thought. Know that you matter.
"Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" I Corinthians 3:16
